   Namaste, I’m Samuel Rai, a fine art student from Kathmandu. I welcome you to my blogsite. This is my personal space where I intend to share my journey in fine arts through still life painting. I hope my work speaks to you. Here, I'll be sharing my digital as well as traditional fine artworks, methodology, core concepts etc. I still choose traditional techniques even in digital medium to bring the best classical textures, depth and colors. 


Recently, I've been working on a new painting/study from still life. This study involves more complex technique and methodology. 

The painting above is a perfect example of  the still life arrangement from my own household items. 
A brief explanation will be added soon in my gallery also a blog post about its complexity and how I handled it as an art student.

  • My intention :

 I profoundly admire paintings which are executed with procedure, method and technique because it showcases true value and understanding of the subject. Those elements play a significant role in painting so I'll be sharing my experiences and insights related to those elements. 
  At present, I've shifted to digital painting right now, I'll be on this platform for some time to test my skills as " fine art is not only about creativity, its about observation, method, procedure and technique all working together in harmony ".

( Note: My experience is based on Sketchbook app, I paint digitally in my mobile without any hustle .) Intro :   Personally, I prefer using digital tools that feel similar to traditional ones.
